Obituary Condolences

Barbara Coronado 1916 - 2014 Barbara (Ma) Coronado, 98, passed away peacefully in her sleep on August 3rd. She moved to El Paso from Chicago in 1967 and worked at The Popular Dry Goods in the Collections Department until the store closed. Barb was a fun-loving person and enjoyed bowling, swimming, travel and gambling. She participated in the Senior Olympics, was a Red Hat member and a devout Cubs fan. She especially loved being a member of the Sun-Up Optimist Club of Canutillo. Her up-for-anything spirit and quick wit reaped many friends who will miss her dearly. Ma survived two husbands, William E. Dominik, to whom she was married from 1935 - 1971 and Ricardo Coronado for 10 years leaving her with two families. She was also preceded in death by sisters, Elsie and Matilda; brother, John Berger and daughter, Josephine Bruce. She is survived by her son, William J. Dominik and wife Dori; son-in-law, Don Bruce; grandchildren, James and Michael Dominik, Don, Bobby and Danny Bruce and wife Mickie; twelve great-grandchildren; nine great great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions would be appreciated and may be made to Sun-Up Optimist Club of Canutillo, c/o Bill Dominik, 831 Anthony Rd., Canutillo, TX 79835. Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, August 7, 2014 at 7 p.m. at Hillcrest Funeral Home West, to celebrate her life.
