Obituary Condolences

Domitila J. Mena, 89 years, passed into eternal glory on August 5, 2014. "Tila" as she was known to family and friends is survived by two sisters: Carmen Garcia, Emma Mendivil and brother: Ruben Jaramillo (Peter). She was preceded in death by her sister: Lupe Perez. Mourning her passing are daughters: Maria Clark, Veronica Williams (Joe), Barbara & Theresa Mena. Sons: Joe (Debra), Mike, George (Lucy), Alex and Peter (Tim) Mena; 14 grandkids, 16 great grandkids, 1 great-great grandchild. Survived by numerous extended family members and many friends. Tila was born on May 1, 1925 to Maria & Miguel Jaramillo. She married her sweetheart, Nemesio Mena, January 11, 1948, a union which lasted 59 years. They were founding members of Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church. She was a member of the Altar Society of OLV & Catholic Daughters. Tila raised a small army of children, all while doing so with a wry sense of humor packed into a tiny frame. She often said she only needed her rosary, coffee and pan dulce to be happy. We who remain behind will forever cherish her memory. Paz Y Amor. Visitation will be from 5:30 to 9 pm on Monday, August 11, 2014 at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church with a Vigil at 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be at 1 pm on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at the same Church. Interment will follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
