Obituary Condolences

Angie Bombach, 93, passed away quietly Thursday, August 14, 2014 in El Paso, Texas with her loving daughter, Catherine, and granddaughter, Liza, by her side. Angie was born in Gomez Palacio, Mexico on June 21, 1921 after the Mexican Revolution. Angie was a devout Catholic and an amazing and intelligent woman who proudly became an American citizen in 1944. She attended Beall Elementary School and graduated from Bowie High School in 1939. She married the love of her life and high school sweetheart Carlos Bombach in 1942. Together they raised a beautiful daughter, Catherine of El Paso, Texas, and three sons, David of Houston, Texas, Richard of Baltimore, Maryland, and Edward of Austin, Texas. Angie loved learning. After raising her children, she went on to attain her Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Education from the University of Texas at El Paso. She taught for 15 years at Coldwell Elementary in El Paso, Texas. She is preceded in death by her beloved baby girl, Angelina Bombach, husband Carlos Bombach, and brother, William. She is also preceded in death by her mother, Leonor Davila Duran, along with Angie's aunts, Maria Davila Del Valle, Guadalupe Davila Salcedo, and Mercedes Davila Vasquez, who came to the United States as refugees from the Mexican Revolution. Uncle, Pedro Davila Lopez remained in Villa Campo, Mexico. Her Aunt Mercedes' children were Esperanza, Manuel, and Raquel. Aunt Maria's children were Carolina, Salvador, and Jose all of whom were Angie's beloved friends and cousins. Aunt Guadalupe's children were Evangelina and adopted son, Rafael. Uncle Pedro had one son, Pedro. She is survived by her 4 children; 15 grandchildren, Jean Pettigrew, Carlos Bombach, Nicolas Bombach, James Bombach, David Bombach, Daniel Bombach, Jonathan Bombach, Michael Bombach, Christopher Gonnell, Liza Bauman, Emily Bombach, Lucas Bombach, Benjamin Bombach, Hannah Bombach, and Sophia Bombach; 20 great grand-children and sister, Maria Elena Ledford. Visitation will Monday, August 18, 2014 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with Vigil Service at 7 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Central, 3839 Montana Ave.Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at 9:45 a.m. at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church, 4800 Byron St. Pallbearers will be son, Edward Bombach, and grandsons, Carlos Bombach, James Bombach, David Bombach, Daniel Bombach, and Michael Bombach. Rite of Committal will follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
