MANUEL ESQUEDA

Manuel "Manny" Esqueda born Feb 24, 1945 to Rebecca and Jose Esqueda, passed away Jan 14, 2018. Manny graduated Bel Air HS 1964, attended Texas Western College 1964-1966. He was an MP in the US Army from 1966-1968 stationed in Badenerhof Kaserne, Heilbronn, Germany. He is preceded in death by his mother Rebecca, and is survived by his father Jose, his wife Mary Lou, daughter Mandy Lisa her husband Jaime and his grandson Xavier. Also survived by his sisters and brother Cecilia Gonzalez (Narciso), Angelica Gonzalez (Ruben), Javier (Lupe), his mother-in-law Consuelo Hernandez, and sisters and brother in law, Connie Hernandez (Rene+) Yolie Lounsberry (Robert+), Ricky Hernandez, Melanie Escobedo(Raul+). Survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank all the family and friends who visited and spent time by his side. A very especially thank you to Raquel Martinez for offering support to his wife, Mary Lou, during this time. The family would also like to express how special it was that Manny's father who he called "Jefe" was with him everyday. Visitation will be January 18 from 5-9pm at Hillcrest Funeral Home-Carolina with a Vigil at 7pm. Funeral mass will be January 19 at 9:45am at Cristo Rey Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
