BARRIENTOS Our beloved husband, father, grandpa, son, brother, Ruben Barrientos entered God's Heavenly Kingdom on November 17, 2010. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Jungle War in Cambodia and was a member of the Ysleta VFW Post #6388. He retired with 23 years of service from the Y.I.S.D. He is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Cruz Barrientos; sons Ruben Barrientos, Jr., Juan Ruiz, and Daniel Ruiz; daughters Edna Gonzalez and Erika Gomez; 15 grandchildren; mother Elfida T. Barrientos; brothers Andres Barrientos, Rodolfo Barrientos, and Robert Barrientos; sisters Virginia Peralta, Irene Arnold, Mary Hernandez, Rosario Archuleta, Gloria Barrientos, Graciela Flores, and Magdalena Chavez. The family extends its most sincerest thanks and appreciation to the Nursing Staff at Providence Memorial Hospital, Dr. Syed Yusoof, Davita Dialysis Staff, Kidney Consultants of El Paso, Dr. Abraham Gonzalez, and Primavera Home Health Care. Visitation will be Monday from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Hillcrest Funeral Home-Carolina. Vigil Service will be Monday at 7 p.m. at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church. Rite of Committal will follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
