Harold Murphy Obituary
MURPHY Harold Dale Murphy was called to Heaven on December 2, 2010. He was born on October 16, 1943 in Newton, Kansas, raised in Sedgewick, Kansas where he graduated from Sedgewick High School. He attended Hutchinson Jr. College in Hutchinson, Kansas. Harold played football for Texas Western College, now UTEP, where he graduated with a BS & Master degree in Education. He is a veteran of the U.S. Army, where he served in the Vietnam War. He retired as P.E. Teacher after 39 years of service, most of which was at Collins Elementary. He is survived by his wife: Sandra, son: Matthew Murphy, daughters: Audra Wick & Tanya Cisneros, son-in-laws: David L. Wick Jr. & Lyndon J. Cisneros, brother: Robert Murphy, sisters: Wanda Graham and Loranie Blevins, grandchildren: Olivia, Isaac, and Sabrina and several nephews and nieces. He is preceeded in death by his parents Charlie & Lela; sister: Virginia Diggs. Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 7, 2010 from 5-9 pm at Sunset Funeral Homes - Northeast with a Vigil at 7:00pm. Funeral Mass will be at 12:30 pm on Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
