Dad,
I will miss you. Thanks for being there for me whenever I needed help. I will always try and be the best man I can. I am so happy that you are in the warm embrace of our lord. No more pain, tears, or fears. Surrounded by love much greater than we can ever feel here in this life. I love you.

To Mrs. Wessling and the family: My deepest, heartfelt sympathy and condolences at the loss of your precious loved one. We spent many days at the International table at the Officers' Club talking about teaching and other topics with other officers, both retired and active duty. He was filled with wisdom and shared openly to help others on their way in life. May the Lord Jesus Christ comfort and protect you in the days ahead.

I love this picture! This is the exact way I remember him while growing up down the street from the Wesslings. I know he was loved dearly and will be missed by his friends and family. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Love, Karen Szilagyi

Thank you for entrusting me with your daughter, whom became my wife, a wonderful mother and my best friend. Your approval, advice and reassurance meant more than you know. I know you are now in His hands and reunited with loved ones past. Rest in peace.

As a fellow Air Defense Artillery Officer I knew Dick (and Collen) for lots of years. I had the honor of following in Dick's footsteps in positions at CAS, Inc. and at Southwest Institute. I always appreciated Dick's professionalism, sense of humor and for the wonderful human he was. I lost touch in recent years but have never forgotten a truly loved friend. Dick will be in my prayers for a safe trip home. May God bless him and his family.

Dick will definately be missed. I'll miss going to the movies with him. Dick and I would go to a movie when Leisa and I would go to visit. He would always get a hot dog with one mustard and two relishes. True Grit will be a movie I remember forever since that was the last one he and I watched together. He was a great man, father, husband and friend.

I met Dick when I went on a trip to DC, with him, his wife and step-daughter, Leisa. I can't help smile when I think of him driving his electric scooter. He was all smiles and no fear. I got impression that that's how he lived his life. It was enjoyable to watch, except when he was going eighty down the van ramp.
I feel very honored that I got to spend that time with him and some of his family. He was a truely special person in many, many ways. He will be missed greatly. Dia Jones, Nurse #2

Richard, I miss you very much. I have only know you for a few years but we did see a lot of great movies together. The coffee meetings and talks at the college is what I miss the most. Our country was lucky to have you as one of our greatest soldiers. I miss your tales of adventure. If there is a heaven you are there having another adventure.

Dad, I miss you already, but I know that you are at peace and out of pain. I have known you over half of my life and have always had advice ready when asked for it. I will miss your humor, your smile, but most of all your love. Rest well and at peace. I love you...your Stepdaughter -
