Eleanor Ray "Sandy" Bradley Sandy Bradley, born August 3, 1929, died on January 12, 2012, age 82, in El Paso. She is survived by daughter Chris Bradley and son-in-law Chris McGill, son Brady Bradley and grandchildren Eric and Ariana Bradley, and surrogate son Larry Rice. A gifted soprano, she was often a featured soloist for her church in Littlefield, Texas. Sandy was the self-proclaimed best cook in Littlefield. Her children won't be able to make a latticed apple pie without her. After her divorce, Sandy relocated to Fort Worth and entered the labor force full time. She retired to El Paso in 1996, and soon her dear sister Posey joined her. They enjoyed bridge and crossword puzzles until Posey's death, when Sandy inherited the beloved cat Jelly Bean. Sandy was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2006. She survived due to skillful surgeries by Doctors Mark Landeros and Bruce Applebaum. She had no chemotherapy or radiation treatment but relied on her eternal optimism to beat the cancer for years. Thank you to all her friends and bridge buddies and to Dr. Branch Craige, who gave Sandy and her family peace. We will all miss her beatific smile. There will be a private burial in Lubbock. You have given others strength When you needed rest; Blessings when you needed blest; Time to others when there seemed precious little left; Hope, when even you felt bereft: You are Love.
