Alfredo Lopez Rios, 52, passed away Wednesday, May 30th 2012. He was a loving, supportive husband to his wife Norma, a hard working father, awesome grandfather and supportive uncle and caring brother and friend. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him and his sense of humor and musical talent. Considered to be "El Paso's number one bass player" for over twenty years beginning with the notable band, Fame. A graduate of Austin High School, he worked for Sun Metro for over nine years as a driver as well as dispatch. Survived by wife Norma, son Adrian Alfredo Rios and daughter Valerie Emily Rios, grandchildren Jayden, Amya, and Mariah. Also older brother Jaime Lopez Rios and Sister Susie Rios Cisneros. Mr. Rios will lie in state Sunday, June 3rd from 5:00 to 9:00pm at Martin Funeral Home Central. Rosary service will be held at 6:30pm Sunday at Martin Chapel, funeral mass will be held at 11:00am Monday, June 4th at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Pallbearers will be Valerie E. Rios, Adrian A. Rios, Jessy Contreras, Christopher Soto, Jaime L. Rios and Alfredo E. Cisneros. Burial at Restlawn Cemetery on Dyer St and Alps. Gone is a musically gifted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. His soul is now at rest. He'll sleep in peace, his work is done. Mom and Dad await you at heavens gates.
