Charles L. Walker, Sr. peacefully passed away Wednesday, December 5, 2012. He was born to Fred and Lela Mae Walker on October 7, 1925 in Roby, Texas. He had worked as a foreman trucker for Denver-Albuquerque Transport, as a maintenance engineer for Sears Roebuck, and as the owner and service technician for AAA Appliance Service. He had been retired for the last twenty years. He is survived by his children. Sharlet Wareing of Phoenix, Arizona, Janet Chapman of Glendale, Arizona and Charles Walker, Jr. of El Paso, Texas, his caregiver, Carol Parker of El Paso, Texas and his brothers James Walker, Calvin Walker and Willard Walker, five grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of fifty-one years, Betty Jo Walker, his twin sister, Charlene Warwick, his brother, Freddie Walker, and his sister, Lela Fae Walker. A Graveside Service was held Saturday, December 8, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Evergreen East Cemetery attended by family and close friends.
