JOE QUINTANA Obituary
Joe Quintana passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on December 19th. He joins his beloved wife of 52 years, Esther. Joe was preceded in death by his sister Dolores Salcido. He is survived by his children Joe Jr., Patricia (Richard) and Mary Ann; three grandchildren, Laura Harris (Jerry), Anna Hernandez (Chris) and Jason Quintana; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Maria de Pilar Palmer and many nieces and nephews. Joe served proudly in the U.S. Army during WWII: Normandy, Northern France, Ardennes, Rhineland and central Europe. He worked as a pharmacist until the age of 88 and was very active in the pharmaceutical community. Recognitions include: Pharmacist of the Year, president of the Texas Pharmaceutical Association, Texas State Board of Pharmacy recognition for 50 years of service and El Paso City County Board of Health. Joe also chaired the 4D Golf Tournament for thirty-five years with proceeds going towards pharmacy scholarships. Joe was a kind, gentle and very giving individual who was loved by all who met him. Papa (Wello), we have left you in the loving hands of our Lord. Please join us in celebrating his life. Services are as follows: Visitation, Sunday December 23rd from 4:00 - 9:00 p.m. with rosary being held at 6:00 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home (central). Mass will be held at St. Pius X Catholic Church on December 24th at 9:30 a.m. with interment following at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery at 11:00 a.m.
