Bill was born in El Paso, Texas on May 27, 1935, the first son to James and Lora Dungan. He attended Austin High School prior to his enlistment in the United States Air Force where he proudly served from 1952 until his retirement in 1972. Bill loved being with his daughters and their families so he and his wife, Frances, moved to Tucson to be closer to them. He enjoyed Tucson with its beautiful desert and mountains because it reminded him of El Paso. He loved ice cream, country music and family time. He loved to go to his grandkids softball and soccer games, as well as their other special events He was an avid UTEP sports fan, discussing in detail the ups and downs of the latest football or basketball games with his brothers David and Don. He loved playing ball with his dog Toby, who was always by his side watching over him. Our beloved husband, father, brother, "Papa" and Uncle will be deeply missed and his humor and caring ways will forever be in the hearts of his family and friends.
