Rachel Fortin Duncan, 84, passed away February 21, 2013, in El Paso, TX. She was born August 23, 1928, in Woburn, Quebec, Canada. Rachel was a homemaker and devoted her life to raising her eight children; she retired from EPISD as a manager in food services. Rachel was preceded in death by her husband John Duncan of 66 years and sister Florence Britton. Rachel is survived by daughters, Jane Harmon (Jim) of Broken Bow, OK, Gaye Milton (Kevin) of Bellingham, WA, Ann Puzio (Mike) of El Paso, TX, Sandra Janson (Greg) of Everson,WA and Teresa Chilson (Bill) of El Paso, TX; sons James Duncan (Sandy) of El Paso, TX, John Duncan of El Paso, TX, and Larry Duncan of Seattle, WA; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; many nephews and nieces and sister Julienne Simpson of Waterville, ME. A memorial service will be held March 16, 2013 at St. Raphael Church at 2301 Zanzibar, with a reciting of the rosary beginning at 10:00 a.m. and mass following at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be private. Rachel's loss is felt by all who knew and loved her. Although greatly missed, her family finds comfort in knowing that she is at peace and united with her heavenly Father. Her beautiful and gentle spirit will live on in the lives of those she loved.
