SALINA RIOS Obituary
Salina Ann Rios, 22, passed away peacefully on April 26th, 2013 surrounded by her family. Born September 16th, 1990, Salina graduated from Montwood High School and was a senior at the University of Texas at Austin. Because of her determination and relentless pursuit to attain her degree, the University has officially recognized Salina with a certificate for outstanding achievement and dedication to excellence, a rare honor. She was a proud Longhorn student and fan. Salina courageously battled cancer for the last year and chose the motto "No One FIGHTS Alone" as family and friends rallied around her. Salina was an amazing loving daughter, sister, aunt, niece, and friend and her presence in our lives is a gift that will continue to shine through all of us. Salina was truly an Angel from heaven amongst us. Salina is survived by her parents, Edward and Theresa Rios; her brothers/sister-in-laws Jacob and Allegra Rios, Aaron and Tammy Rios; nieces, Tatum, Liliana, Miranda, and Mariana; nephews, Tosh and Chris; paternal grandmother, Lilia Rios; maternal grandparents, Irma Lerma, Arturo and Chole Lerma Sr., and numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 30, 2013 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Hillcrest Funeral Home-Carolina with Vigil Service at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at 10 a.m. at St. Mark Catholic Church. Rite of Committal will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery. Pallbearers are brothers Jacob and Aaron, Tony Quintana, Josh Quintana, Mark Rios, Louie Lara, Arturo Lerma Jr. and Gene Ruiz. Honorary Pallbearers are Joe Rios, Marcos Lerma, and Freddy Lerma. Services under the direction of HILLCREST FUNERAL HOME 1060 Carolina Dr. 598-3332
