Socorro R. Cochran, 69, beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, friend and accomplished businesswoman of El Paso, TX joined God's team of Realtors on May 7, 2013 after an amazing battle with cancer that defied all doctors' expectations. She fought her cancer like she lived her life, never letting anyone tell her she couldn't win. She married the love of her life, Charles "Chuck" Cochran and over the next 43 years together, they built a life filled with family, friends, community, work and fun. As a long time Realtor with Greater El Paso Association of Realtors, Socorro developed a dedicated following of clients who sent their children and grandchildren to buy their first homes with her over the last 34 years. She was equally admired and respected by her fellow Realtors who elected her to many honorable positions, including two-time GEPAR Realtor of the Year, Chair of TREPAC, President of WCR, and GEPAR Board of Directors, to name only a few. Socorro loved her family passionately and took pride in all their accomplishments. Friendships with people from all walks of life and all over the world are also a big part of Socorro's legacy. Her home in heaven will be the best decorated with a party atmosphere and music to dance to. Socorro is survived by her husband, Chuck; her siblings: Epigmenia, Ester, Paula, Clara, Raymundo; her three sons & two daughters in-law: Carlos Raul Cisneros, Ernest & Amy Bowman-Cisneros, and Richard & Dee Cisneros; and her grandchildren and one great grandchild: Marissa, Joshua, Isaiah, Lynette, Stephany, Cynthia, Zander, Ezra and Sebastian; and many special nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her sister, Tomasa. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Rio Grande Cancer Foundation, 10460 Vista Del Sol Dr. #101, El Paso, TX 79925 which graciously supported Socorro. Special thanks to Mariposa Hospice.
