Fidel Realyvasquez Sr., 87, peacefully passed away Tuesday, September 24, 2013 in El Paso. Born November 3, 1925 in Mexico, Fidel lived in California for many years where he worked as an auto mechanic for Ford and raised his family. After retirement, he moved back to Texas, a place he loved to be. Survived by his sons Fidel Jr., Armando, Lou, Fernando, Alex, and Jonathan, eleven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and his brother, Mario. His son Ricardo predeceased him. A life well lived, Fidel treasured spending time with family and friends, always ready with a helping hand, story or song; he will be greatly missed by all that loved him.
Services will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2013. Visitation from 8:00 to 9:45 a.m. at the Martin Funeral Home Central, 3839 Montana Ave., El Paso, followed by mass at 10:00 a.m., St. Josephs Catholic Church, 1315 Travis St., El Paso.
