Michael David Coley passed away Wednesday, November 6th at the age of 96. Formerly of Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, he resided in El Paso for almost eighty years. He arrived in New Mexico in the CCCs and then joined the Army at Beaumont Hospital. He served through WWII, then worked for Railway Express and later joined the US Air Force for 23 years of military service. At Beaumont Hospital he served 20 years of civil service. He was married to Ramona Coley for 63 years. He loved camping, hiking, dancing and traveling. He took up jogging in his late 60s and learned to play the guitar and clarinet in his 80s. Survivors: one sister, Josephine Mamola (Joseph Mamola); 6 children: Michael Arthur (Socorro), Raymond Luis, James John (Consuelo), Gloria Maria Sanders (Ralph Sanders), Anthony Paul (Sharron) and George Edward (Dee Dee); 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 12th 5 to 9 PM at Funeraria del Angel Kaster-Maxon & Futrell, 8817 Dyer, with a rosary at7:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church, 4800 Byron, on Wednesday, November 13th at 10:00 AM.
