Obituary Condolences

A Letter From Heaven When tomorrow starts without me, and I'm not here to see, If the sun should rise and find your eyes, filled with tears for me. I wish so much you wouldn't cry, the way you did today, While thinking of the many things, we didn't get to say. I know how much you love me, and much as I love you, And each time you think of me, I know you'll miss me too. When tomorrow starts without me, don't think we're far apart, for every time you think of me, I'm right there in your heart. ?Unknown Matthew Nathaniel Olivas Jr., 9, passed away Tuesday, November 19 surrounded by family. Matthew also known as "Gordo," was born with a big heart, both literally and figuratively. Matthew spread joy to everyone he met. The mere sight of his big brown eyes, gorgeous smile, and rosy cheeks melted hearts, but not even those beautiful qualities could compare to the love he gave. Matthew served as an inspiration to many. He is one of the most faithful, loving, brave, inspiring, and funny kids to ever grace this earth. He is survived by his parents Deidra Morales and Matthew Olivas, brothers Malachi Olivas, Dimagio and Santiago Vega, grandparents Angie and Manuel Olivas, and Sylvia and Darrell Warren, aunts Desiree Morales, Melanie Olivas Longhurst, and Christy Olivas, uncles Isaiah Morales, Preston Longhurst, and Manny Olivas Jr., step-father Bobby Vega, step-mother Sara Muro, step-sister Mia Muro, cousins Jayden and Dominic Serna, as well as numerous other loved ones. We thank God for you, Gordo! Visitation will be Monday, December 2, 2013 from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Mt. Carmel Funeral Home 1755 N. Zaragoza. Celebration Mass will be Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Corpus Christi Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Ronald McDonald House Charities, or Wells Fargo Account #8048915147 to benefit other families awaiting heart transplants at Children's Medical Center of Dallas.
