Heidbrink, Daniel H.H.  
Daniel Herman Henry Heidbrink, 88, Beaufort, passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2016, at Sullivan Life Care Center, Sullivan. Daniel, son of the late Henry Heidbrink and wife Emma, nee Wehmeyer, was born Dec. 4, 1927, in Rosebud. He was united in marriage to Evelyn Birkmann June 4, 1949, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Beaufort. After Evelyn's death, he was united in marriage to Valera Margie Ridge Oct. 8, 1999, at St. Ann's Catholic Church, in Clover Bottom. He served his country with the U.S. Army, receiving the World War II Victory Medal and Army of Occupation Medal. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Beaufort, Beaufort Lions Club and was a 4-H leader for many years. His survivors include his wife, Valera Margie Heidbrink, of the home; three daughters, Diane Burns and husband Mark, Kris Berger and husband Mark, all of Union, and Nancy Ulsas and husband Richard, Washington; one stepdaughter, Judy Hereford and husband Phil, Highland, Ill.; one stepson, Robert Luechtefeld and wife Lisa, Jacksonville, Fla.; three sisters, Laura Polm, Mary Heidbrink, both of Rosebud, and Ruth Schmidt and husband Arnie, Union; seven grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Evelyn; his parents; five brothers, Art, Gus, Arnie, Eddie and Wilbert Heidbrink; three sisters, Edna Hilgenkamp, Delores Brandt and Viola Heidbrink; one stepdaughter, Karen Luechtefeld; and one step-grandson, Graham Hereford. A funeral service was held Friday, June 24, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Beaufort. Burial, with full military honors, was in the church cemetery. Memorials are requested to St. John's Lutheran Church, Beaufort. Arrangements were entrusted to Gottenstroeter Funeral Home, Gerald.

Hillermann, Leonard J.  
Leonard J. Hillermann, 85, Washington, passed away Friday, June 17, 2016, at Cedarcrest Manor, Washington. Leonard was born May 7, 1931, in Washington, the son of Peter Hillermann and wife Marie, nee Kraft. Leonard was united in marriage to Lucille McDonald Nov. 5, 1952, at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and a proud member of VFW Post 2661 and American Legion Post 218. He also was a member of Washington Elks Lodge 1559, Knights of Columbus Seisl Council 1121, Washington Boat Club, and was a lifetime member of the NRA. Leonard enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting and fishing, and loved to travel, having visited all 50 states and several countries abroad. Leonard is survived by his wife, Lucille Hillermann; six children, John L. Hillermann and wife Barb, Tom Hillermann and wife Susan, Ronda Lesire and husband Mike, all of Washington, Linda Schlick and husband Steve, Jackson, Mo., Nancy Swanton, Tampa, Fla., and Sheila Westmeyer and husband Chris, Webster Groves; three siblings, Robert Hillermann and wife Jane, Maurice Hillermann and wife Doris, all of Washington, and Rosalyn Pursley and husband Vernon, New Haven; 16 grandchildren, Todd, Eric, Adam, Alex, Andrew, Bobbi Jo, Ryan, Lily, Max, Libby, Leo, Cassidy, Amber, Gage, Hunter and Chase; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and three siblings, Peter Hillermann Jr., Rosella Hillermann and Bertha Eckelkamp. Visitation was held Sunday, June 26, from 3 to 7 p.m. at Miller Funeral Home, Washington. A memorial Mass was held Monday, June 27, at 10 a.m. at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church, Washington. Inurnment followed at Ascension Cemetery, Washington. Memorial donations are appreciated to Wounded Warriors or Franklin County Honor Flight. The Hillermann family was served by Miller Funeral Home, Washington.
