Votrain, Lorraine I.  
Lorraine Irene Votrain, nee Theiss, 87, Union, formerly of Kirkwood, departed this life Saturday, July 18, 2015, at her home surrounded by the love of her family. Lorraine, daughter of the late Walter Otto Theiss and wife Cora Lee, nee Bailey, was born Dec. 22, 1927, in St. Louis. In 1946, she was united in marriage to Robert Louis Victor Bopp, and two daughters came to bless this union. On June 25, 1960, she was united in marriage to Charles Otto Bopp, and they were blessed to have 13 years together. On July 1, 1986, she was united in marriage to Merle Votrain, and they were blessed to have seven years together. Lorraine was a Christian of the Lutheran faith, believing in the Lord as her Savior. During her working years, she was employed as a cook for the Parkway school district for many years. In later years, she worked as a dishwasher for Meadowbrook Country Club, St. Louis. She was musically talented, and playing the organ was one of her favorite pastimes. Lorraine loved spending time outdoors and completing physical tasks. Cutting her grass and shoveling snow in the winter were favorite chores. Fishing was one of her most enjoyable pastimes. She had a keen sense of humor and usually kept her family and friends in laughter when they were together. She was happiest when she was spending time with her daughters and grandchildren, and many wonderful memories were created. Lorraine is survived by one daughter, Barbara Flamion and husband Don Sr., St. Clair; six grandchildren, Jeffrey Wilson, Eureka, Brian Wilson and wife Amber, House Springs, Donald J. Flamion Jr. and wife Audrey, Lonedell, Robert L.V. Flamion, Grubville, Angela Kaemmerer and husband Chris, Washington, and Clinton Flamion and wife Tanya, Gray Summit; two sisters, Carol Ann Vinson, Ballwin, and Susan Ellermann, Arnold; one sister-in-law, Jean Theiss, Kirkwood; four great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; great- and great-great-nieces and -nephews; cousins; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Robert Bopp, Charles Bopp and Merle Votrain; one daughter, Judith C. Wilson; parents, Walter and Cora Theiss; two brothers, Vincent and Clifford Theiss; and one sister, Irene Theiss. A funeral service was held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, July 22, at Russell Colonial Funeral Home, St. Clair, with the Rev. Mark Bangert officiating. A private committal will take place in Crestview Memorial Park, St. Clair, at a later date. Memorials may be given to Immanuel Lutheran School, Washington, or BackStoppers. The family was served by Russell Colonial Funeral Home, St. Clair.

York, Dolores A.  
Dolores A. York, nee Coons, 81, Washington, passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2015, at Cedarcrest Manor, Washington. Dolores was born Oct. 26, 1933, in Villa Ridge, the daughter of Wesley Coons and wife Lori, nee Helifrich. She was united in marriage to the late Paul D. York July 10, 1950, in Mountain Home, Ark. Dolores was a member of VFW Post 2661 Ladies^ Auxiliary, Order of the Eastern Star, and Parsons Foursquare Church, Parsons, Kan. She enjoyed quilting and baking. Cooking for her was a way to express her love for her family and community. She spent many summers cooking for kids at^summer camps. Dolores is survived by four sons, Paul W. York and wife Stacy, Washington, Larry D. York and wife Louwanna, West Columbia, S.C., James L. York and wife Susan, San Antonio, Texas, and Gregory L. York and wife Suzie, Parsons, Kan.; five siblings, William Coons and wife Janet, Washington, Dennis Coons and wife Darlene, St. Clair, Jack Coons and wife Barb, Malden, George Coons and wife Lana, Hot Springs, Ark., and Shirley J. Canan, Louisville, Ky.; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul D. York; her parents, Wesley and Lori Coons; three siblings, Dot Markum, Ruth Hood and Jim Coons; and one great-grandson, Zachary York. A private service will be held at Waynesville Memorial Park Cemetery, Waynesville. Memorial donations may be given to the Cedarcrest Manor activity fund. The family is being served by Miller Funeral Home, Washington.
