Aaron S. Martin(1974 - 2014)

Aaron Scott Martin, 40, Oakland, Ark., formerly of St. Clair, departed this life Wednesday, March 26, 2014, in Springfield.

Aaron, son of Robert Eugene Martin and wife Debra Lynn, nee Brown, was born Jan. 13, 1974, in Washington. He was united in marriage to Rhonda Sue Metts June 4, 1994, and two children came to bless this union.

Aaron was currently employed as a sales associate for Home Depot, Inc., Mountain Home, Ark. He also was a past member of Laborers Local 42, St. Louis. Aaron was an outdoorsman at heart. Hunting, fishing and spending time on the river were favorite pastimes, especially when shared with his son Tanner. He also loved to hunt for mushrooms in the springtime, whittle wood and go arrowhead hunting. What meant most to him was time spent with his family. His family, children and grandson held a very special place in his heart, as he did in theirs. The love they shared and many precious memories they created will live in their hearts forever.

Aaron is survived by his wife, Rhonda Sue Martin St. Clair; one son, Tanner Martin, St. Clair; one daughter, Kaitlyn Martin and boyfriend, Kyle Sansoucie, St. Clair; one grandson, Bohen Sansoucie; parents, Robert Eugene and Debra Lynn Martin, Oakland, Ark.; parents-in-law, Susie Brown, Lonedell, and Ron Metts and wife Beth, Sullivan; two brothers, John Martin and wife Shannon, Moore, Okla., and Matthew Martin and wife Jeanna, Oakland, Ark.; one sister, Susan Pilkenton and husband Ron, Sullivan; aunts; uncles; brothers- and sisters-in-law; nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and many friends.

A celebration of life will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, April 5, at Meramec State Park, Pavilion 3, Sullivan.

A private committal will take place at a later date.

Memorials may be given to the family for the benefit of the children.

The family of Aaron Scott Martin entrusted the care of their loved one to Russell Colonial Funeral Home, St. Clair.
