Donald R. Slack, 81, Washington, passed away Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013, in Washington.
Mr. Slack was born April 22, 1931, the son of the late Robert D. Slack and wife Edna.
He was united in marriage to Carolyn Drewel Oct. 20, 1962, at St. Peter's United Church of Christ, Washington.
Mr. Slack is survived by his wife, Carolyn Slack, Washington; son, Michael Slack and special friend Judy Slaten, Washington; daughter, Cynthia Dowling and husband Douglas, St. Peters; brother, Robert L. Slack and wife Caryl, Washington; Bulgarian son, Senan Fuchedzheiv; two grandchildren, Christopher Kempen, St. Louis, and Lisa Kempen and fiance Nathan Blaine, Washington; great-grandson, Beau Courtaway; special friend, Paul Kempen, Pacific; nephew, Torrey Slack and wife Marsha (and children Veronica and Victor), Morrison; niece, Shanna Slack and son Keaton, Everton; other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Eugene Slack; and sister-in-law, Susan D. Slack.
Visitation is to be held Wednesday, Jan. 23, from 3 p.m. until time of service at 5 p.m. at St. Peter's United Church of Christ, Washington.
Memorials to the St. Peter's Atrium Fund or to Evercare Hospice are preferred.
