Lee Curtis, 78, Port Charlotte, Fla., formerly of Glencoe, passed away Sunday, April 28, 2013, at his home.
He was born May 8, 1934, in Henrietta, Texas.
Lee was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Bill Curtis; and four sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Bettie Curtis; four sons, Burle Curtis, Arizona state, Darrell, Robert and James Curtis, all of Missouri state; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; numerous friends and loved ones. Lee will be missed.
He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps
from 1952 to 1955. Lee also served in the Marine Corps Reserves in 1960. He participated in nuclear maneuvers in New Mexico in 1952.
Lee worked at McDonald Aircraft for 30 years with seven years in Iran, leaving just prior to the revolution.
Lee lived in Glencoe for many years. He was active in his church and traveled extensively. Lee settled in Florida state.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 11, from 2 to 6 p.m. at Glencoe Community Church of God, Glencoe.
