Margaret M. Mealer(1937 - 2013)

Margaret "Margie" Mary Mealer, 75, Pacific, was reunited with her late husband, Robert "Bob" Lee Mealer, Sunday, Feb. 3, 2013. She was surrounded by her family as she left to meet Bob for their first dance in heaven.

Margie was born Oct. 17, 1937, to the late John Oonk and wife Katherine, nee McCarthy, in St. Louis.

She received her education from St. Mark's Grade School and Xavier High School. In 1957 Margie was united in marriage to Bob Mealer and over the years had three children.

She loved spending time with her family and friends, vacationing at various lakes and playing practical jokes.

Margie spent time working at Phillips, Danford Florist, Coleman Elementary, as a secretary, where she was known as Tillie Linhop, and retired from Waddell and Reed. She also volunteered for many years at Pacific Care Center.

Margie is survived by one son, Jim Mealer and fiancee Mary Kempker, Pacific; two daughters, Karen Belleville, Eureka, and Colleen Swanson, Pacific; one brother, John H. "Jack" Oonk, St. Louis; two grandsons, Bobby Belleville, Eureka, and Brandon Swanson, Pacific; two grandsons she loved like her own, Devin and Dylan Kempker, Westphalia; three granddaughters, Katie Belleville, Eureka, Rachael and Natalie Swanson, Pacific; numerous nieces and nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Bob" Lee Mealer; parents; two sisters, Mary Ann Huebner and Camilla McGuire; one niece, Erica Cook; and one nephew, Joe Cook.

A Mass of Christian burial was held Tuesday, Feb. 5, at St. Bridget's Church with the Rev. Rodger Fleming officiating.

Interment was in Sunset Cemetery, Pacific.

Memorials to the , BJC Hospice or PEO are preferred.

The family was served by Nieburg-Vitt, Thiebes Funeral Home, Pacific.
