Odelo J. Hoerstkamp(1941 - 2013)

Odelo "Ode" Joseph Hoerst- kamp, 72, New Haven, passed away Monday, July 29, 2013, at his residence.

Ode, son of the late Odelo C. Hoerstkamp and wife Delora P., nee Fetter, was born March 10, 1941, in Washington. He was united in marriage to Jean L. Kreftmeyer June 8, 1963, at Assumption Church, New Haven.

Ode worked as a carpenter in residential construction. He was a member of Assumption Church, New Haven, and Carpenters Local 1839.

Ode was preceded in death by his parents, Odelo C. and Delora P. Hoerstkamp; three brothers, Bernard Hoerstkamp, Joseph Hoerstkamp and Fred Hoerstkamp; and two sisters, Rose Moeckli and Norma Jean Hoerstkamp.

He is survived by his wife, Jean L. Hoerstkamp, New Haven; one daughter, Paula Sallin, Jefferson City; two sisters, Eldoris Hagedorn and husband Earl, and Janet Eggers and husband Rodney, all of Washington; two grandsons, Stephen Strobel, St. Elizabeth, and Eli Strobel, Chamois; and one sister-in-law, June Hoerst- kamp, New Haven.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 2, at Toedtmann-Grosse Funeral Home, New Haven.

A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 3, at Assumption Church, New Haven, with Father John Deken officiating.

Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Memorials may be given to the ALS Association, in care of Toedtmann-Grosse Funeral Home.
