Aaron, son of Harold Copeland and Jana D. (Underwood) Lockhart, was born July 31, 1982, in Palm Springs, Calif.
He was a fan of the Oakland Raiders football team, and liked watching MMA. Aaron enjoyed target shooting, playing basketball with his family and friends and his car. He was the co-owner of Sonic Restaurant, Union, where he spent a lot of his time.
Aaron is survived by his father, Harold Copeland and wife Emily, La Quinta, Calif.; mother, Jana D. Lockhart and husband Richard, New Haven; seven brothers, Christopher Woods, Marysville, Calif., Cody Glenn, Dallas Lockhart, both of Washington, Spencer Underwood, Dean Lockhart, both of New Haven, Bryan Hamm, and Travis Hamm, both of La Quinta, Calif.; four sisters, Rikki Rickman and husband Rob, Aurora, Shannon Lockhart, Ash Grove, Anna Lockhart and fiance Dustin Taber, Creve Coeur, and Catherine Alderson, La Quinta, Calif.; grandmothers, Betty Copeland, La Quinta, Calif., and Dean Greenwood, Skull Valley, Ariz.; grandfather, Wayne Copeland and wife Joyce, Indio, Calif.; three uncles, Kenneth Underwood, New Haven, Glenn Lockhart and wife Terri, Ash Grove, and Darrell Copeland and wife Julie, Palmyra, Tenn.; two aunts, Freda Lockhart, Chiriaco Summit, Calif., and Cheryl Garcia and husband Rudy, La Quinta, Calif.; three nephews, Chris Griffith, Marshal Hamm and Hunter Hamm; and one niece, Evalyn Watson.
Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 30, at Toedtmann-Grosse Funeral Home, New Haven.
A funeral service will follow, beginning at 1 p.m. at the funeral home, with Pastor Jerry Jones officiating.
