1929 - 2018 Obituary Condolences
Mr. Alan Henry Siegerist, St. Louis, born Feb. 28, 1929, in Queens, N.Y., to the late Laura and Walter Siegerist, passed away at age 89, Thursday, April 26, 2018, in Labadie.

Alan graduated from Washington University in 1951. He served in the Naval Air Reserve, from 1951 to 1960 in the Korean War. He worked for Sunnen Products as a mechanical engineer before working with his brother as an engineer at Meeco Inc., until he retired in 2001.

He enjoyed carpentry and cars, and was a member of Theta Xi fraternity. He was a member of the National Society of Professional Engineers. Alan built a house in Wisconsin that he enjoyed going to in the summer for 50 years. He would occasionally fish, but always seemed to like to find something to work on at the house. He liked to play golf. His biggest hobby was investing in the stock market, in which he became a consummate professional and was very successful.

Alan was the beloved husband of June for 65 years. Alan is also survived by his sons, Paul (Tomilyn), Scott and Walter Craig (Janice). He had five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Walter.

Friends and family can pay their respects at the memorial service, officiated by the Rev. Dr. William Smutz, at First Congregational Church of St. Louis, 6501 Wydown Blvd., St. Louis, Saturday, May 12, at 2 p.m.
