Anna K. Garrett Obituary
Anna Katherine Garrett, nee Lockwood, 99, New Florence, passed away at 2:45 a.m. Monday, Dec. 4, 2017, at New Florence Nursing Care Center, New Florence.

Anna, a homemaker, was born Aug. 7, 1918, in Montgomery City, to Arthur Leslie and Julia Kuhn Lockwood. She married Marvin F. Garrett July 23, 1939, in Camdenton. They were married for 72 years. Anna cared for Marvin full time before he passed away Dec. 29, 2011. She was a 1936 graduate of Montgomery City High School. Anna worked as a secretary for the Montgomery County ASC Agency before becoming a full-time wife and mother. She was a member of Jonesburg Methodist Church, Jonesburg. Anna enjoyed her large family and friends. Trips to the casino were a highlight for her.

Anna is survived by three sons, Leslie Garrett, High Hill, Jerry (Cherry) Garrett, Albany, Ga., and Lindsay Garrett, High Hill; two daughters, Anita (Kenneth) Finke, Montgomery City, and Kathy (Lee) Anderson, Monroe City; one daughter-in-law, Alice Garrett, Jonesburg; 18 grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; one son, Richard; one daughter-in-law, Ellen Garrett; three brothers; two sisters; and one great-grandson, Cole Durham.

Pallbearers are her grandsons Christopher, Stephen, Jason, Anthony, Paul and Jacob Garrett; Karl and Aaron Finke; and Matthew, Nicholas and Timothy Anderson. Honorary pallbearers are her granddaughters Wendy Dennison, Stephanie McKague, Peggy McCullom, Kim Morrison, Amy Finke, Paige Trone and Leigh Ann Garrett.

Visitation will be held Thursday, Dec. 7, from 9 to 11 a.m. at Jonesburg Methodist Church, 112 Moriarty St., Jonesburg.

A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m., also at the church.

Interment will be at the church cemetery.

Memorials to Jonesburg Methodist Church, in care of Pitman Funeral Home, P.O. Box 126, Warrenton, MO 63383 are preferred.
