Arthur J. Miller Obituary
Arthur Julius Miller, 89, passed away peacefully at Oak Pointe Senior Facility, Warrenton, Monday, May 7, 2018.

Arthur was born March 1, 1929, in St Louis, to Julius Miller and wife Blanche, nee Fairchild. He was married to Melba Jean Crouse July 8, 1950, in Wright City. They spent 67 wonderful years together and were blessed with two sons. A 60-plus-year resident of Warren County, Arthur was an outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. As a member of The Camping Club, he spent lots of his family time at various campsites throughout the country, visiting all but three states, and even went as far as Canada on a camping trip. On weekends when Arthur wasn't camping, he could be found playing the accordion with Frank Stanek and the Country Limits band. He also loved farming. Spending time with his great-great-granddaughter, Maisyn, always made Arthur smile.

He is survived by his loving wife, Melba Jean Miller; sons, Steven Miller and wife Carol, and Larry Miller; grandchildren, Denise Bakameyer and husband Dave, and Mackenzie Miller; great-grandchild, Nicolas Bakameyer; great-great- grandchild, Maisyn Bakameyer; nieces; nephews; many other friends and family.

Arthur was preceded in death by his parents, Julius and Blanche Miller; sister, Rosemary Beck; daughter-in-law, Robin Miller; and nephew, Frederick Beck.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Monday, May 14, from 10 a.m. to noon at Martin Funeral Home, Warrenton.

A funeral service will follow at noon, also at the funeral home.

A committal service will be held at Warrenton City Cemetery.
