Barbara, daughter of the late John Gann and wife Mary E., nee Lord, was born April 20, 1938, in Conway. Barbara graduated from Conway High School. She was united in marriage to Richard Barnett Aug. 18, 1969, in Miami, Okla. They made their home in Swansea, Ill., and moved to Villa Ridge in 1974. She was the director of Christian Preschool at First Baptist Church, Gray Summit, for 23 years. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary E. Gann; three siblings, John Gann, Bill Gann and Louise Anno.
She is survived by her husband, Richard Barnett, Villa Ridge; one son, Richard Barnett and wife Malinda, Lee Summit; one daughter, Angela Gomez and husband Fernando, Overland Park, Kan.; one grandson, Logan Kain, Overland Park, Kan.; two sisters, Mary Helen Felin, Springfield, and Jean McCauley, Oak Park, Ill.; other relatives and friends.
` A funeral service was held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 8, at First Baptist Church, Gray Summit, with the Rev. Alan Calkins officiating.
Burial was in Brush Creek Cemetery, Gray Summit. Memorials may be given to First Baptist Church, Gray Summit.
