Bernadine C.N. Meyer Obituary
Bernadine Caroline Nellie Meyer, nee Toelke, 85, New Haven, passed away Thursday, Nov. 23, 2017, at New Haven Care Center.

Bernadine, daughter of the late Emil Toelke and wife Alma C., nee Vogt, was born Aug. 16, 1932, in Gerald. She was the widow of Chester W. Meyer. They were united in marriage Oct. 14, 1950, at Ebenezer Stone Church, Gerald. Chester preceded her in death Feb. 1, 2013.

Bernadine was a member of Ebenezer Stone Church, where she was the organist for many years. She was a farm wife, and worked alongside her husband on their family farm. She loved cooking and baking, and enjoyed gardening, spending time with her family and attending her grandchildren's activities.

Bernadine is survived by four daughters, Connie Gerdes and husband Ray, Diane Gerdes, all of New Haven, Carol Meyer and husband Jim, Rosebud, and Peggy Borcherding and husband Bob, Gerald; her grandchildren, Eric Gerdes, Heidi Groner, Julie Westermeyer, Doug Gerdes, Craig Borcherding, Adam Gerdes, Collin Meyer, Luke Borcherding and Cody Meyer; and 17 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and a sister Imogene Ella, who died in infancy.

Visitation was held Saturday, Nov. 25, from 3 to 7 p.m. at Toedtmann-Grosse Funeral Home, New Haven.

Funeral services were held Sunday, Nov. 26, at 2 p.m. at Ebenezer Stone Church, Gerald, with the Rev. James Hogue officiating.

Burial was at the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Ebenezer Stone Church, New Haven Care Center Activities Fund or Immanuel Lutheran Church Youth, Rosebud, in care of Toedtmann-Grosse Funeral Home.

The family was served by Toedtmann-Grosse Funeral Home, New Haven.
