Beulah M. Merseal Obituary
Beulah Marie Merseal, nee DeClue, 87, St. Clair, departed this life Wednesday, May 2, 2018, in St. Clair.

Beulah was born March 12, 1931, in Old Mines, the daughter of George Michael DeClue and wife Barbara Ellendor, nee Nash. As a young woman, she was blessed to have one son. On Oct. 23, 1954, she was united in marriage to Joseph Howard Merseal, and he loved her son as his own.

Beulah was a Christian of the Catholic faith believing in the Lord as her Savior. She was a member of the V.F.W. Post 2482 Ladies Auxiliary of St. Clair. She made caring for her home and family her mission in life and never tired of her duty. Beulah had a variety of interests in her life, including fishing, camping and going on trips. She loved to sew and work in her garden. Beulah was an avid reader and also liked to do puzzles. Her grandchildren held a very special place in her heart, and she cherished the time she spent with them. The love they shared and many precious memories they created will never be forgotten.

Beulah is survived by three grandchildren, George DeClue and wife Angela, St. Clair, Jason DeClue and wife Tiffany, Robertsville, and Helen Gardner and husband Dennis, Park Hills; one brother, Joe DeClue, Union; one sister, Carol Moran, St. Clair; eight great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; one brother-in-law; nieces; nephews; great-, great-great and great-great-great-nieces and -nephews; cousins; and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Merseal; her son, Charles DeClue, known to most as Chuck; her daughter-in-law, Idia DeClue; her father, George DeClue; her mother, Barbara DeClue Tate; her stepfather, Alonza Tate; six brothers, David, George, Gene, Mikel, Glen and Bennet DeClue; and three sisters, Mary Lucas, Betty Stanley and Grace Benton.
