Bruce W. Murray, 71, Villa Ridge, passed away Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012, at Cedarcrest Manor, Washington.|
Mr. Murray was born March 19, 1941, in Evansville, Ind., the son of Jesse Murray and wife Ida.
He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1958 to 1962.
On Jan. 10, 1981, Mr. Murray was united in marriage to Marilyn Gudermuth of Pacific.
He retired from Chrysler, Fenton, after 27 years. Mr. Murray also worked at SECO, Washington, for 10 years.
Mr. Murray was a member of Villa Ridge Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Murray, Union; one son, David, Cedar Hill; two daughters, Mary, Pacific, and Debbie, St. Clair; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; four sisters, Joan Carlisle and husband Jr., Winslow, Ind., Arlene Mayfield and husband James, Cheryl Barnes and husband Richard, all of Villa Ridge, and Linda Rose, Pacific; brothers-in-law, Wayne Gudermuth and wife Debbie, Pacific, and Ronnie Gudermuth, Mount Vernon; other relatives and many dear friends.
Mr. Murray was preceded in death by his brother, Jay L. Murray.
Visitation was scheduled to be held Tuesday, Nov. 13, from 2 to 8 p.m. at Schrader Funeral Home, 108 N. Central Ave., Eureka.
A funeral service at Schrader Funeral Home will be held Wednesday, Nov. 14, at 10:30 a.m.
Following the service will be a full military burial at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis.
