Carson L. Decker, 90, Warrenton, passed away Saturday, July 6, 2013.|
He was born Aug. 18, 1922.
Carson worked for General Motors for 33 years before he retired. He was an avid Cardinals fan and during his spare time loved to work in the yard and detail his cars.
Carson was the loving husband of Maxine Decker, nee Jenkins; dear son of the late Grover O. Decker and wife Vergil, nee Reeves; devoted father of Danny Decker and wife Margie and Janet Haub and husband Jim; cherished grandfather of Briana, Jessica, Jaime and Jenny; beloved great-grandfather of Chase, Sophia, Jacob, Paelyn and Maddox; dear step-great-grandfather of Faith and Madelyn; dear brother-in-law of Peggy Decker and Ruth Decker; and loving uncle, cousin, and friend to many.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and seven siblings, Jack, Darrel, Earl, Merl, Dale, Bob and Erma Lee Gelso.
Visitation will be held Saturday, July 13, from 1 to 2 p.m. at Baue Funeral and Memorial Center, 3950 West Clay St., St. Charles.
A memorial service is scheduled to follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
Inurnment will be held in St. Charles Memorial Gardens.
