Clara Marie Fleahman, 96, New Florence, passed away Saturday, June 21, 2014, at New Florence Nursing and Care Center.|
She was born June 7, 1918, in Jonesburg, to William C. Meyer and wife Hermina A. Clara was united in marriage to Charles Fleahman Sr. Sept. 29, 1941. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Jonesburg. During her working years, Clara was employed by Beacon Shoe Company. She enjoyed making quilts and loved family time.
Clara is survived by one son, Charles (Donna) Fleahman Jr., Jonesburg; one daughter, Shirley (Ronald) Meyer, Montgomery City; one sister, Pauline Wright; one sister-in-law, Shirley Meyer; four granddaughters, Melissa Fleahman, Teresa Meyer, Michelle Fleahman, and Sandra (Paul) Saunders; two grandsons, Terry (Kim) Meyer and Randy (Valarie) Fleahman; many great-grandchildren and many great-great-grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Clara was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Fleahman Sr.; parents, William C. and Hermina A. Meyer; one son, Leslie Fleahman; one brother, Paul Meyer; three sisters, Bertha (George) Finke, Adelia (Charles) Hans, and Anna (Homer) Frye; brother-in-law, Russell Wright.
Visitation was held Wednesday, June 25, from 1 to 2 p.m. at Pitman Funeral Home, 106 W. Lions, Jonesburg.
A funeral service followed at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
Interment was in Jonesburg City Cemetery, Jonesburg.
Memorials to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Jonesburg, Gentiva Hospice or the New Florence Care Center Activity Fund, in care of Pitman Funeral Home, P.O. Box 126, Warrenton, MO 63383 are preferred.
The family was served by Pitman Funeral Home, Jonesburg.
