Dale G. Harvey Obituary
Dale G. Harvey, nee Giesler, 94, Jonesburg, formerly of Mexico, Mo., passed away at 9:05 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 22, 2018, at Jonesburg Nursing and Rehab.

Dale was born April 13, 1923, in High Gate, to William Giesler and wife Viva, nee Morelock. On Nov. 27, 1963, in Mexico, Mo., she married Ernest R. Harvey, who preceded her in death Dec. 5, 1976.

Dale worked for Florsheim Shoe Factory, Mexico, Mo., for 23 years. She was a member of the former Love Street Christian Church.

Dale is survived by one daughter, Beverly Pierce Sumpter and husband Brad, Warrenton; one sister, Lucille Vincent, Belle; four grandchildren, Katie (Miller) Dushoff and husband Adam, Columbia, Jason Sumpter, Austin, Texas, Erin Westerberg and husband Matt, Eagle, Colo., and Stacey Ostmann and husband Brad, St. Charles; seven great-grandchildren, Lincoln, Kennedy and Monroe Dushoff, Nolan and Tanner Westerberg, Addison and Kenzie Ostmann; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Harvey; parents, William and Viva Giesler; one daughter, Betty Pierce Miller; one stepson, Larry Harvey; three brothers, Utah, William and Edward Giesler; and seven sisters, Delpha Moreland, Wilma Shanks, Ruby Mosher, Eula Belle Mesko, Hortense Wofford, June Moore, and Ethel May Fryer.

Visitation was held Monday, Feb. 26, from noon to 1:30 p.m. at Pickering Funeral Home, Mexico, Mo.

Funeral services followed at 1:30 p.m., also at the funeral home, with the Rev. Raymond Iman officiating.

Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery.

The family suggests memorials be given to the Laura Miller George Help Center, in care of Pickering Funeral Home, 403 N. Western, Mexico, MO 65265.
