Edma Lucas "Maggie" Evitts Obituary
Edna "Maggie" Lucas Evitts, nee Rutledge, 89, Villa Ridge, passed away Saturday, Feb. 24, 2018.

Maggie was born July 5, 1928, in Oklahoma, to the late Sid Rutledge and wife Helen, nee Pangarakis. Raised in Richwoods, Maggie was a longtime Brown Shoe Company worker, housewife, mother and home healthcare worker. She loved life, family, country music, thrift store shopping, Elvis and Jesus.

Maggie is survived by four children, Ralf Lucas (Scott Bramstedt), Maplewood, Karen Brown, Washington, Bill (Donna) Lucas, and Cathy (Joe) Doyen, all of De Soto; 17 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Shirley Rutledge, Belleville, Ill., and Pat (Bob) Smith, St. Clair; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by one son, Gary Lynn Lucas, Everywhere; one son-in-law, Roy Brown, Villa Ridge; her parents; and two sisters, Helen Ruh and Lillian McCurry, both of Union.

A private family service will be held.

The Evitts family is being served by Oltmann Funeral Home, Union.
