Eileen C. Spreckelmeyer Obituary
Eileen C. Spreckelmeyer, nee Vahrenberg, 87, Washington, passed away Saturday, June 30, 2018, in Washington.

Eileen, daughter of the late Fritz Vahrenberg and wife Emma, nee Krueger, was born May 20, 1931, in Morrison. She received her education from Chamois High School. On May 19, 1956, she was united in marriage to Alfred Spreckelmeyer, at St. Francis Borgia Church. Eileen enjoyed quilting, knitting, going to garage sales and playing cards. She was a member of St. Francis Borgia Church.

Among her survivors are her loving husband, Alfred Spreckelmeyer, Washington; six children, Donna Buchholz and husband Alvie, David Spreckelmeyer and wife Mary, Kevin Spreckelmeyer, Linda Shelton and husband Andrew, Paul Spreckelmeyer, and Jill Schuler and husband Larry, all of Washington; one brother, Emil Vahrenberg, Jefferson City; 15 grandchildren, Wendy Wisdom, Joshua Buchholz, Kristy Ziegelmeyer, Scott Spreckelmeyer, Jamie Spreckelmeyer, Ashley Spreckelmeyer, Kelsey Spreckelmeyer, Dakota Spreckelmeyer, Amanda Barron, Jeremy Shelton, Jena, Owen and Ryan Spreckelmeyer, Jacob Schuler and Justin Schuler; 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Vivian Vahrenberg and Lois Ziegerer; one brother-in-law, Norbert Voss; nieces; nephews; cousins; and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; parents-in-law, Frederick and Theodora Spreckelmeyer; one brother, Earl Vahrenberg; two sisters, Ruby Harshaw and Lucille Whertvine; and two sisters-in-law, Joan Voss and Ann Spreckelmeyer.

Visitation was held Monday, July 2, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Nieburg-Vitt Funeral Home, Washington.

A Mass of Christian burial was held Tuesday, July 3, at 10 a.m. at St. Francis Borgia Church.

Interment was in the church cemetery.

Memorial donations to the St. Francis Borgia Church Building Fund or Mercy Hospice are preferred.

Arrangements were in care of Nieburg-Vitt Funeral Home, Washington.
