Eldoris A. "Ellie" Hagedorn Obituary
Eldoris "Ellie" A. Hagedorn, nee Hoerstkamp, 83, Washington, passed away Thursday, Jan. 31, 2019, surrounded by her loving family.

Ellie, daughter of the late Odelo C. Hoerstkamp and wife Delora, nee Fetter, was born Nov. 9, 1935, in New Haven. She worked for over 30 years at Kellwood, as an accountant, where she met Earl Hagedorn. They dated and were married Feb. 3, 1968, in Union. Ellie was a voracious and diverse reader. Any publication that made its way into their home was inspected and analyzed, from junk mail, to Kiplinger's, to romance novels. She enjoyed following current financial and political news through various media outlets throughout her life, but especially in more recent years. Most of all, her two grandchildren held a special place in her heart, and she loved hearing about their lives and being their cheerleader.

Ellie is survived by her husband, Earl Hagedorn, Washington; one son, Todd Hagedorn and wife Beth, Ellisville; one sister, Janet Eggers, Washington; two grandchildren, Trent and Blake, both of Ellisville; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and six siblings, Bernard Hoerstkamp, Rose Lee Moeckli, Odelo J. Hoerstkamp, and three siblings in infancy.

Visitation will be held Sunday, Feb. 3, from 3 to 7 p.m. at Miller Funeral Home, Washington.

A funeral Mass will be held Monday, Feb. 4, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Washington.

Interment will be private.

Masses may be said or memorial donations given to Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Grade School.

Arrangements are in care of Miller Funeral Home, Washington.
