1972 - 2018 Obituary Condolences
Eric Michael Jezierski, 46, St. Clair, departed this life Thursday, Aug. 2, 2018, at his home.

Eric was born Jan. 19, 1972, in St. Louis, the son of Ronald Michael Jezierski and wife Sharon Teresa, nee Delaloye.

Eric was a Christian and member of St. Clare Catholic Church in St. Clair. He also was a member of Knights of Columbus, Bishop Leo John Steck Council 4667 of St. Clair. After graduating from high school, Eric enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps, entering June 26, 1990, and receiving his honorable discharge June 25, 1994. He then obtained his bachelor's degree in agriculture and animal science from the School of the Ozarks near Branson. He furthered his education with the University of Phoenix, obtaining his master's degree in business administration. On Sept. 28, 2004, he enlisted in the U.S. Army, retiring as a captain, Dec. 23, 2014. Eric was proud to have defended our country in the Gulf War, in deployment to Afghanistan, Kuwait, Jordan and Iraq, and he received many awards. He was honored to have received a Bronze Star Medal. He was currently a member and senior vice commander of V.F.W. Post 2482 in St. Clair. After his retirement from the military, Eric formed Jezierski Livestock LLC, and was raising Brahma cattle. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, with rifle, bow and musket. Fishing was another of his hobbies. Eric was a historian and especially loved military history and studied it extensively. He often took part in Civil War Re-enactments. Nothing made Eric happier than the time he spent with his family. Although he had no children of his own, his nieces and nephews held a very special place in his heart.

Eric is survived by his parents, Ronald and Sharon Jezierski, Lake Ozark; one brother, Jeff Jezierski and girlfriend Helga Komen, Eureka; two sisters, Kristina Moses and husband Ronald, and Erin Jezierski, all of Fenton; five nieces and nephews, Jay and Abby Jezierski, Eureka, R.J., Olivia and Isabelle Moses, all of Fenton; aunts; uncles; cousins; and many friends.

Visitation was held after 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7, at Russell Colonial Funeral Home, St. Clair, with a V.F.W. service at 7:30 p.m.

A funeral Mass was held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, at St. Clare Catholic Church, St. Clair, with the Rev. Eric Kunz officiating.

Interment, with full military honors, was held at 12:45 p.m. at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis.

Memorials may be made to V.F.W. Post 2482, St. Clair.
