Francis W. Liermann, 76, Marthasville, was at home surrounded by his loving family when he passed away Friday, April 4, 2014. |
Francis was born to Frank J. Liermann and wife Anna M., nee Glosemeyer, Nov. 23, 1937, in Marthasville. He was united in marriage to Judith M. Hasenjaeger Sept. 2, 1961, at St. Ignatius Church, Marthasville.
Francis served his country in the U.S. Army until he was called back home to help his father with the family farm. Francis was a member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church. He was a life- long farmer and resident of Marthasville. Francis loved restoring Farmall tractors and spending time with his family, especially all of his grandchildren.
He is survived by his loving wife, Judi Liermann; five children, Michelle Hellebusch and husband Leon, Rick Liermann and wife Cindy, Sue Schwoeppe and husband Dale, Lisa Ketterer and husband John, and Roger Liermann and wife Kelly; 15 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three sisters, Viola Pracchia, Jane Glastetter and Marlene Unnerstall; many other relatives and friends.
Francis was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Anna Liermann; one son, Allen Liermann; one brother, Alfred Liermann; and two sisters, Rita Eichholz and Albertha Kappen.
Visitation was held at Martin Funeral Home, Marthasville, Tuesday, April 8, from 3 to 8 p.m.
A Mass of Christian burial was held Wednesday, April 9, at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, Marthasville.
Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Memorials may be given to St. Ignatius School or to Masses, in care of Martin Funeral Home, 510 E. Main St., Warrenton, MO 63383.
