Glen Allen McRoy, 55, Warrenton, passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2013, at St. Joseph Hospital West.|
Glen was born Feb. 3, 1958, in St. Louis, the son of Herman H. McRoy and Coreta Reed, nee Bess.
He was employed as a truck driver. Glen served in the Army Special Forces in 1975. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Warrenton. Glen loved to fish and write songs.
He is survived by his wife, Frieda McRoy, nee Hoelscher, Warrenton; mother, Coreta Reed, Mayfield, Ky.; two sons, Eric McRoy, Warrenton, and Jesse McRoy, Missouri state; two daughters, Sarah Illy, Richmond Heights, and Crystal McRoy, Cedar Hill; one brother, Tom McRoy; two sisters, Joyce Collins and husband Earl, Florissant, and Barbara Hale, Mayfield, Ky.; six grandchildren, Seth, Sid, Johnny, Noah, Austin and Judge McRoy; other relatives and many friends.
Glen was preceded in death by his father, Herman H. McRoy.
Visitation was held Friday, April 19, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Pitman Funeral Home, Warrenton.
A funeral service was held Saturday, April 20, at 10 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church, Warrenton.
Interment was in Hoelscher-Gerding Cemetery, Warrenton.

The family was served by Pitman Funeral Home, Warrenton.
