James Edward Ketchem, 68, Hawk Point, passed away Friday, March 1, 2013, at his home.|
He was born Nov. 21, 1944, in Highland Park, Mich., the son of the late George Samuel Ketchem and wife Margaret.
James was employed as a tool and die maker for General Motors.
James attended Zion United Methodist Church, Truxton.
He is survived by his wife, Diane Ketchem, Hawk Point; one son, Martin Raymond Ketchem, Wright City; two daughters, Teresa Lynn (Robert) Higgins, Mayville, Mich., and Jami Suzzanne Polston, Wright City; one brother, Rudolf Ketchem, LaFountaine, Ind.; one sister, Bessie Worden, Milwaukee, Wis.; two grandsons, Bradley (Laura) Cloutier and Alexander Polston; four granddaughters, Samantha Higgins, Sarah Higgins, Marti Rae Crull and Mari Kate Polston; two great-grandsons, Lucas and Evan; one great-granddaughter, Catarina Diane; other relatives and many friends.
James was preceded in death by his parents, George and Margaret Ketchem.
Visitation was scheduled for Wednesday, March 6, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Pitman Funeral Home, 904 S. Highway 47, Warrenton, MO 63383.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, March 7, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
Interment will be private.
Memorials to the family for final expenses, in care of Pitman Funeral Home, P.O. Box 126, Warrenton, MO 63383 are preferred.
