Judith A. Johnmeyer

Judith Ann Johnmeyer, known to most as Judy, nee Pilkenton, 72, St. Clair, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2013, in St. Clair.

Judy, daughter of the late Kenneth Wayne Pilkenton and wife Virginia Evelyn, nee Weatherford, was born Aug. 2, 1941, in St. Louis. She was united in marriage Aug. 20, 1960, to Richard "Rick" Lewis Johnmeyer, and four children came to bless this union. On June 20, 2009, she was united in marriage to Leland "Pete" Lewis Stahlman.

Judy was a Christian and longtime active member of the Church of Christ, St. Clair. During her working career, Judy was a secretary working for Johnmeyer Construction, St. Clair, Associated Rubber Products Company, St. Clair, for some 15 years, and then St. Clair Nursing Center for 13 years. She also was a past member of the St. Clair Kiwanis Club. She had a variety of interests throughout her life, including playing cards and bowling. Judy also loved nature and especially raising flowers. What meant most to Judy was time spent with her family. Her children and grandchildren held a special place in her heart, as she did in theirs. The love they shared and many precious memories they created will be cherished by all of them forever.

Judy was preceded in death by her first husband, Richard "Rick" Lewis Johnmeyer; two sons, Jeffrey Johnmeyer and Dwight Johnmeyer; and father, Kenneth Wayne Pilkenton.

She is survived by her husband, Leland "Pete" Stahlman, St. Clair; one son, Chad Johnmeyer and wife Shelley, St. Clair; one daughter, Kay Johnmeyer-Brott, St. Clair; mother, Virginia Evelyn Pilkenton, St. Clair; one sister, Kay Hafif and husband Herb, LaVerne, Calif.; one daughter-in-law, Kelly Johnmeyer, Washington; five grandchildren, Amber Johnmeyer, Adam Brott, Nathan Straatmann and Reese Johnmeyer, all of St. Clair, and Nathan Johnmeyer, Washington; one great-grandchild, Emma Straatmann; one uncle; brothers- and sisters-in-law; nieces; nephews; great-nieces and -nephews; cousins; other relatives and many friends.

A funeral service was held at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 4, at Russell Colonial Funeral Home, St. Clair, with Brother Wayne Curry officiating.

Interment was in Midlawn Memorial Gardens, Union. Memorials may be given to the Church of Christ Food Pantry, St. Clair.

The Johnmeyer family was served by Russell Colonial Funeral Home, St. Clair.
