June, daughter of Loren Hatch and wife Betty, nee O'Leary, was born Sept. 26, 1948, in Mexico, Mo. She received her education in Mexico, Mo., and obtained a degree in education from the University of Missouri, St. Louis, and a master's degree from Maryville University, St. Louis. She taught special education in various schools. She was united in marriage to Garry Perkins in September of 1966, in Washington, and they made their home in Marthasville. June was a member of the Methodist Church, American Teachers Association, Rainbow Girls and the VFW Auxiliary. She and Garry were very active in the YMCA, Washington.
June was preceded in death by one daughter, Melissa Perkins; one granddaughter, Jennifer Miller; and father, Loren Hatch.
She is survived by her husband Garry Perkins, Puxico; two sons, Timothy Perkins, Puxico, and Steven Perkins and wife Amy, Valley Park; one daughter, Michelle Perkins, Festus; mother, Betty Hatch, Washington; one brother, Marty Hatch, Lake St. Louis; one sister, Christine Hatch, St. Louis; and three grandchildren, Dustin Perkins, Joey Perkins and Charley Perkins.
A funeral service was held Monday Nov. 4, with the Rev. Marsha West Eichler officiating. Burial was private.
