Kay L. Beckmann Obituary
Kay Lorraine Beckmann, nee Shoemaker, 57, Sullivan, passed away Saturday, Sept. 8, 2018, at her home.

Kay was born Aug. 29, 1961, in Washington, to the union of Kenneth Shoemaker and wife Blanche, nee Immell. In 1973, Kay was baptized at First Baptist Church in Washington. Kay attended Washington High School, and was in the graduating Class of 1980. She was united in marriage to Stephen Beckmann May 12, 1984, in Washington.

She worked for Hazel Manufacturing in Washington for 20 years and True Manufacturing in Pacific for 16 years. Kay enjoyed camping, crafting, sewing, quilting, painting, tending to her plants and flowers, finding treasures by antiquing, dancing, laughing, cooking for friends and family, bicycling, and visiting wineries, but most of all, Kay loved spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Stephen Beckmann, Sullivan; one son, John Beckmann, Sullivan; one daughter, Sarah Price and husband Scott, Washington; one brother, Kurt Shoemaker and girlfriend Melissa Robinson, Labadie; and two sisters, Patricia Scott, Belton, and Joyce Neithardt, Washington.

Kay was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Blanche Shoemaker, and one sister, Connie Shoemaker.

Visitation was scheduled for 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11, at Midlawn Funeral Home, Union.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 12, at the funeral home.

Interment will be at Midlawn Memorial Gardens, Union.
