Korey L. Kennedy Obituary
Korey Lee Kennedy, 20, St. Clair, departed this life Thursday, March 1, 2018, in St. Clair.

Korey was born Sept. 5, 1997, in Creve Coeur, the son of Keith Benjamin Kennedy and wife Jessica Darnel, nee Zack.

Korey was a Christian and had been attending The Bridge Lutheran Church in Washington. After graduating from high school, he worked with his father as a landscaper. For the last six months, he was employed by Easy Touch Painting Company as a painter. Hobbies and interests of his included hunting, fishing, listening to music and spending time with his friends. He also had an interest in mixed martial arts for awhile. What meant most to him was time spent with his family, and Korey was especially close to his siblings and niece. The love they shared and many precious memories they created will live in their hearts forever.

Korey is survived by his parents, Keith Kennedy and Jessica Kennedy, both of St. Clair; his grandparents, Linda Henderson, St. Clair, Robert Zack and wife Norma, Arnold, and Sue Kennedy Bolte and husband Robert, St. Clair; two brothers, Garrett Kennedy and Erik Kennedy, both of St. Clair; one sister, Madison Kennedy, St. Clair; his niece, Mia Kennedy, St. Clair; aunts; uncles; great-aunts and -uncles; cousins; and many friends.

Korey was preceded in death by his grandfather, Clarence Kennedy, and his step-grandfather, Jay Henderson.

Funeral services were held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 6, at Russell Colonial Funeral Home, St. Clair, with the Rev. Andy Yount officiating, assisted by the Rev. Jason Gaszak.

A private committal will take place at a later date.

Memorials may be made to the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation.
