1967 - 2017 Obituary Condolences
Kurt Andrew Gansmann, 49, passed away Saturday, Oct. 7, 2017, in Washington.

Kurt was born Dec. 31, 1967, in Belleville, Ill., the son of Roger W.A. Gansmann Sr. and wife Betty, nee Klinckhardt, Belleville, Ill.

Kurt received his education through both Cathedral Grade School in Belleville, Ill., and Our Lady of Lourdes in Washington. He also was a graduate of Washington High School and served his country in the U.S. Army, achieving the rank of sergeant.

Kurt was a member of V.F.W. Post 2661, where he served as past post commander, and American Legion Post 218, both in Washington.

He was preceded in death by his father, Roger W.A. Gansmann Sr.

He is survived by his mother, Betty Gansmann, Washington; two brothers, Roger Gansmann Jr. and wife Barbara, and Keith Gansmann, all of Washington; three sisters, Jean Gansmann, St. Clair, Rose Mantle and husband Dan, and Pamela Wunderlich and husband Kevin, all of Washington; nieces; nephews; dear cousins; and many friends.

A special memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 11, at St. Francis Borgia Church, Washington.

Memorials to the Franklin County Honor Flight, in care of V.F.W. Post 2661, 813 Jefferson St., Washington, MO 63090 are preferred in lieu of flowers.
