Leona Noelke, nee Brinkmann, 96, Washington, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014, in Washington. |
Leona, daughter of the late Theodore Brinkmann and wife Katherine, nee Reuber, was born April 29, 1917, in Villa Ridge. She was united in marriage to Harry Noelke Nov. 25, 1936, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Villa Ridge.
Leona was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Noelke; one daughter, Betty Jean Noelke; three brothers, Vincent Brinkmann, George Brinkmann and Henry Brinkmann; and three sisters, Minnie Patke, Anna Gerner and Lucille Noelke.
She is survived by nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12, at Miller Funeral Home, Washington.
A funeral Mass was held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 13, at St. Francis Borgia Church, Washington.
Interment followed at the church cemetery.
Memorial donations may be given to St. Francis Borgia Church or Meals on Wheels.
The family was served by Miller Funeral Home, Washington.
