1963 - 2017 Obituary Condolences
Loye James Futch, 53, died unexpectedly Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2017, in Lakeland, Fla.

Loye was born Dec. 29, 1963, in Lakeland, Fla., to Lamar and Mary Futch. He graduated from Warren County R-III High School, Warrenton, and served in the U.S. Air Force. Christy stole his heart, and they were married in Lakeland, Fla., June 5, 1999.

Loye was the owner and operator of Loye's Marine Services, with loyal customers from across the state. When not working, Loye enjoyed following his children's interests, from horse shows, to baseball games, to gymnastics meets and volleyball games. He never met a stranger, had an infectious smile that brightened everyone's day and a lighthearted sense of humor that friends and family loved.

Loye is survived by his wife, Christy Wessel; children, Jordan Nicole Futch, Graeson Tyler Futch and Carson Marie Futch; his mother, Mary (West) Futch; sister, Kelley (Futch) Boree; sister-in-law, Karen Holtmeyer (Gary); brother-in-law, Mike Wessel (Donna); sister-in-law, Jayne Juern (Larry); sister-in-law, Angie Wessel (Greg); and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lewis Lamar Futch; father-in-law, Donald Wessel; and mother-in-law, Anna Marie (Ruether) Wessel.

The family would like to thank everyone for their thoughts, prayers and support.
